Jon Nilsson, Organist of Aneboda Church of Stora Ugglehult, died August 23, 1762. He was married to Elin Nilsdotter who died August 16, 1751. He was usually called Musician Jon, because he furnished the music at weddings and parties. One time, when he was on a long trip to the Parishes, to play at a wedding and riding his horse, as was the custom, he rode over the frozen Ugglehult pond. On the way home he fell asleep on his horse, so soundly, that he did not awake before the horse had swum across the, now open, pond.

He is described as a very tall, strong, man and his voice could be heard a long distance when he sang in Aneboda Church. Out to Stampeslatten his voice could be clearly heard above the other singers at Church services. In a large gathering of people, assembled to see the King as he travelled along the highway past Ugglehult Jon attracted the King’s attention by his lofty stature. When the King inquired “Can this stony region produce people like you?" Musician Jon replied “You sometimes find gold among the stones.”

Nils residing in Ugglehult died in 1812. He was a horse and cattle dealer arid had at different times owned farms in the district. He was married to Anna Katarina Petersdotter Rets (sister of Greta of Natteryd, Backegard in Moheda parish).

This Nils, during time of war, risked his life, when he went to Denmark for a shipment of horses. As he, luckily, escaped, he presented a large Chandelier to the Aneboda Church, in 1780. On the gift appeared the donor’s name and the 13th and 14th verses of the 66th psalm of David: - “I will come into Thy house with burnt offerings; I will pay my vows, that which my lips uttered ‘and my mouth promised, when I was in trouble.”

Kerstin married in Sparsmo.

Lisbet married in Eskas, Sodregard. As an indication of that periods way of thinking, it is related that she complained to her Father, that her husband whipped her. Then her Father took his cane and struck her, saying: - “If he whips my daughter, I will strike his wife.”
